Presentation Title
Leveraging Moodle to Bridge the Physical and Digital Classroom in HyFlex Environments
Presentation Description
In her session, Leveraging Moodle to Bridge the Physical and Digital Classroom in HyFlex Environments, Dr. Vinothini will showcase how Moodle (myTIMeS) was transformed into a dynamic platform that seamlessly supports both in person and remote learners. By embedding AI generated avatar videos and integrating Walter, the AI Learning Buddy from Noodle Factory, myTIMeS evolved from a static content hub into an interactive and personalised learning space.
Through this innovation, students gained access to multilingual, bite sized videos, personalised quizzes, and role play scenarios that encouraged deeper engagement and reflection. Meanwhile, on-campus sessions shifted their focus towards collaboration, problem solving, and peer learning. This blended HyFlex approach not only enriched student experiences but also allowed educators to shift from content delivery to facilitation creating a bridge between AI-powered personalisation and meaningful, human centred learning.
